I follow a general guideline for my new and existing edible garden clients.
To meet my objectives, the new or existing edible garden must hold these qualities:
- an objective
- a focus and orientation
- a foundation in organics and human nutrition
- plant specifics
- garden design and install
- garden maintenance
- on going garden sustainability
- and urban garden support systems
Every client has a unique goal, a unique understanding and vision, and a unique direction in which they want to go in regards to the above components.
The above framework allows us to work with the client progressively to create a well managed edible garden that produces a lot of tasty food while continuously decreasing the ecological footprint. Over the seasons and years, we observe while we garden so as to integrate ongoing improvements and modifications that reflect the sites’ unique needs and conditions.
At The Greener Side our focus is on functional urban edible gardens and property landscapes maintained with little or no power tools.
On occasion upon consideration, we suggest and/ or out-source other property modifications that improve and streamline related energy systems, such as rain water collection, solar power, geo-thermal, composting and so forth.
We strongly believe that healthy and beautiful greenery along with fresh food grown on site is a key way to live naturally and harmoniously.
